Day 2

Day 2 went all Paks way. Youhana and Younis Khan ploughed Pakistan into the game....Or was it just spineless batting from India late on the first day. I happen to believe that the latter is more to be blamed.
When you have 250 odd on the board for the loss of 2 wickets and crashed every bowler to every part of the ground for over 4 hrs and you know that Laxman, Sachin and Ganguly are all there you would assume India would score more heavily than they did.....Well they didnt apply their minds to the task at hand. Simply put, they did not bat well. Sehwag is the saving grace....Dravid played a good innings but lost his wicket when it mattered most. Laxman and Ganguly are batting as though they are on a vacation. I am a great great fan of Laxman, but i think he has to bat more reliably if he needs to keep his place in the side.
Yuvraj and Kaif are no mugs with the bat and they have what Laxman doesnt---Youth, Energy and willingness to bat well irrespective of situation. Laxman has the nonchalance and the talent and the timing that neither Yuvraj or Kaif can match. That is why he is still in the team.
